The History of Few Ready Mix
Arthur Few started Few Ready Mix Concrete Co. in 1954 along with his brother-in-law, Kellie Mays. The attached picture shows Arthur along with his long-term assistant, Theo Keller. Few Ready Mix Concrete Co. is still family owned. Kellie Mays eventually left the company and started selling cement for Alpha Cement near Orange, Texas supplying cement to Few Ready Mix.
Arthur Few’s daughter, Bonnie Walker and husband, Dan Walker, purchased the company in 1982. Arthur Few’s granddaughter, Karen Walker and husband, Kevin Kipp joined the company in 1990 after graduating from college. Arthur Few’s grandson, Allen Walker, joined Few Ready Mix in 2016 after managing his own business for 20 years.
Theo Keller’s son, David Keller, started working at Few Ready Mix in 1997 and is now the main dispatcher for the company. Few Ready Mix still purchases most of its cement from the same cement terminal near Orange.
